Worth It scholarship applicants must:
Be high school seniors or graduates, or current postsecondary undergraduates, who plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two-year or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school for the entire upcoming academic year.
Have a minimum grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent).
Required documents as part of the application include:
A current, complete transcript of grades. Grade reports are not accepted. Transcripts must display student name, school name, grades and credit hours for each course, and term in which each course was taken.
If selected as a recipient, the student will receive a $2,000 award payable to their college. Up to 10 awards will be granted.
Awards are for undergraduate study only.
Selection of recipients
The program will use selection criteria based on the distracted driving questions, short answer essays and an essay.
Scholarship America will select finalists, and UFG Insurance will determine the recipients. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.
Financial need will not be considered.
Applicants will be notified in April. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients.
Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of UFG. Payments are made in one installment in early August.
